It is with mixed emotions that we share some news regarding the future of Behavioral Health Associates. Dr. Solomon and his wife, Peggy have announced their retirement, effective December of 2023. It’s with a heavy heart that we are announcing the closing of BHA.
Our decision to close the practice was not an easy one, and we have cherished the privilege of serving you throughout the last 26 years. We understand that this news may be difficult for many of you, and we want to assure you that we are taking every step to ensure a smooth transition for your ongoing care. Some of our therapists will be continuing their private practices at a separate location. They will notify you directly of their new office information. As we learn details, we will put that information on our Clinicians page.
Effective December 21, 2023, our office will cease to offer psychiatric services. Until then, we will continue to provide appointments as scheduled and assist you with any immediate concerns you may have.
For your convenience, please note the following important information:
Appointment Schedule: All scheduled appointments until December 21st will proceed as planned. We kindly request that you attend your appointments as scheduled to ensure a smooth continuity of care during this time. We strongly encourage you to reach out to your primary care physician or another psychiatric practice NOW to make future plans for December 22nd forward. Autumn and winter are the busiest times for the psychiatric field so please do not delay.
Medical Records: Your medical records are confidential and will be securely maintained following all legal regulations. Should you need a copy of your records for your future care, please contact our office before December 21st, and we will be happy to arrange for their transfer. After that date, our website will be updated with information on how to obtain these records going forward.
Prescription Refills: If you require prescription refills, please reach out to our office to schedule a final appointment to ensure you have an adequate supply until you transition to a new healthcare provider.
Resources: Our staff will be available to provide you with information on alternative psychiatric care providers or community resources to continue your treatment. We have a list of other Chattanooga providers here: https://bhachattanooga.com/resources
We deeply value the trust you have placed in us to support your mental health needs, and we extend our heartfelt gratitude for being a part of our practice. The decision to close our office was not taken lightly, and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience it may cause.
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to reach out to our office during regular business hours at 423-899-0024. We will do our best to address your inquiries promptly.
Thank you again for allowing us to be a part of your mental health journey. We wish you all the best in your ongoing care and well-being.
